Now, a full-length trailer for the upcoming extravaganza has been released. The accompanying caption explains that the film "explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks). The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge)." Watch below.
ELVIS [Official Trailer]
The filming of Elvis has faced many challenges over the course of the pandemic. In 2020, production was shut down when Tom Hanks contracted covid while filming here in Australia, where the movie was filmed. Work on the movie was delayed for six months before production could resume filming.
Plot details for the upcoming biopic have remained closely guarded to date, but with Elvis set to hit cinemas in June this year, we won’t have too long to see the King on the big screen in all his hip-swivelling glory!
Stay tuned!
