When it comes to high-decibel, high-octane anthems, Twisted Sister are true masters. Led by the heroic Dee Snider, their superbly outrageous outfits and raucous shows make them one of the most unforgettable bands on the planet.
The glam legends went from playing bars in the 70s to headlining festivals in the 80s on the strength of massive hard-rock hits like We’re Not Gonna Take It and I Wanna Rock, but also embraced the classics, delivering a slamming rendition of the 1964 pop hit, Leader of the Pack – originally written by George “Shadow” Morten and made a number one pop hit by the swinging 60s girl group, The Shangri-Las.
Watch below as Twisted Sister blaze through the Motown classic as though it were one of their own.
