Last weekend should have been action-packed at Worthy Farm in England, but sadly, this year’s Glastonbury Festival was put on ice along with the rest of our 2020 plans. But that didn’t stop the organisers from delving into the archives to celebrate the annual event, which inspired us to do the same.

This footage of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds performing “Loverman” on June 25th 1994 – a track they had released just two months earlier on their innovative masterpiece Let Love In – finds Cave at his quintessential best. So, while we’re all craving some much-missed live music, this 1994 Glastonbury performance is about as good as it gets! Enjoy.

The 1994 lineup at Worthy Farm’s annual utopian escape was arguably one the greatest in the history of the event, stacked with acts set to explode in the next decade, famously featuring Blur and Oasis going head to head for poll position, and of course, Nick Cave’s glorious set. Since his 1994 debut, Cave has become a stalwart of the Glastonbury festival, returning to the Pyramid Stage in 1998, 2009 and 2013 plus a very special guest appearance in 2019 during his friend, and fellow Aussie music icon, Kylie Minogue’s legends slot, watch here.

Here’s to a triumphant return of the iconic event in 2021!
