Let's Close Your Eyes... It's Groovy Now

Maybe we should look at why we only focus on musical greats when they pass away. It seems a shame.

Kim Fowley was at least as much of a musical agent provocateur as the more feted Lee Hazelwood.

He made some good records, stood (very) tall, had a colourful back story that coincided with LA rock’s heyday, and was cheeky enough to get rich claiming Tchaikovsky’s publishing.

He made the very good, and very of its time record, The Trip for himself and it’s as good as any of the Nuggets type gems.

And I love him for coming up with The Runaways, the perfect pop band which launched Joan Jett and Lita Ford.

Something between punk and glam.

Something great.

So no time here wasted then.
