Liam Gallagher has shared a photo of himself beat up and bandaged on Twitter, revealing that he “fell out the helicopter,” after his performance at the Isle of Wight festival in the UK.
In his usual lively spirits, Gallagher owned the rock n’roll moment, saying “you couldn’t rite [sic] it all good. Who said RnR is dead Keith Moon eat your drum skin out.”

When one user suggested he had merely tripped and “face planted” while exiting the helicopter, Gallagher informed him that the fall was actually “100 thousand feet you bumbaclart.” This may be a slight exaggeration… but his comment that the image of his bandaged face could grace his next album cover is likely not.
Prior to the freak fall, Gallagher closed the first day at the festival with a triumphant set that included some treasured Oasis hits among his own solo tracks.
Later this month, the new Oasis documentary, Oasis Knebworth 1996, premieres worldwide. The film chronicles two legendary sold-out shows the band performed to more than 250,000 people at the peak of their fame. The film’s official website explains, “Oasis Knebworth 1996 is the story of that weekend and the special relationship between Oasis and their fans that made it possible.”
