Here’s an extra special treat for all the Motor Ace fans out there! The band have just announced that their ARIA #1 album, Shoot This (2002) will now be released on vinyl for the very first time. The reissue, featuring a slight twist to the original artwork, will be pressed as a limited run of white vinyl and released on June 28, marking 17 years since the album first hit the shelves. You can pre-order your copy HERE.

Shoot This was initially demoed after Motor Ace wrapped up touring their 2001 debut Five Star Laundry. “It was an exciting time for us,” recalls drummer Damo Costin. “We demoed the record at Hothouse Studios in Melbourne and recruited Chris Sheldon, who had mixed Foo Fighters’ ‘The Color And The Shape’ to come out to Australia to produce the record. The demos were really good, so there was pressure to come up with something special.”

The first song frontman Patrick ‘Patch’ Robertson presented to the band was “Carry On” which would later reach #13 on the ARIA Singles Chart and figure in the Triple J’s 2002 Hottest 100 countdown. “Patch had come in with "Carry On" as a demo and we were blown away,” Damo says. “It was a sign of a twist in a new direction and wider in scope.”

Shoot This was produced by Chris Sheldon, who had previously worked with Foo Fighters, Garbage and The Pixies. It debuted at # 1 on the ARIA chart and generated two hit singles with "Carry On" and "Keeping Secrets".The limited edition Shoot This vinyl reissue will be officially released on June 28.
