Neil Young’s 2020 output has been positively prolific! From his Fireside Sessions, to the deep vault dive that brought us his lost 1975 album Homegrown back in August, his ongoing Official Bootlegs project and recent EP The Times… and more.

As the end of the year draws closer, Young shows no signs of slowing. This week he has unveiled yet another previously unreleased track, “The Losing End (When You’re On),” which comes from perhaps his most extensive release of year – his  upcoming Archives Vol. II box set.

The live recording hails from a 1973 concert at the Roxy in Hollywood, where Young performed the rootsy rocker with the Santa Monica Flyers, featuring future E Street member, Nils Lofgren on guitar. Listen below.

Last week, Young  also shared an unheard version of “Powderfinger” from the box set – you can listen here.

And, if that’s not quite enough, earlier this month Young released a live album Return to Greendale, recorded with his band Crazy Horse recorded on the road in 2003 while touring his Greendale album which you can steam below. Check out the limited deluxe vinyl box set, here.
