Lisa Simone – the legendary Nina Simone’s award-winning daughter – is touching down in Australia in March for a run of shows, kicking off at Sydney’s ornate State Theatre on March 27th.
The upcoming tour is in support of Lisa Simone’s new album, In Need Of Love; described by the artist herself as: “My gift to a world ‘in need of love’. I want others to know, if I can reach this place of peace and joy within, at this stage in my life, we all can!”

Growing up, Lisa Simone’s was childhood marked by emotional distress. By the age of seven, she had already knowing thirteen nannies and suffered deep-seated separation anxiety from her mother’s heavy touring schedule; not to mention the grief of Nina Simone’s tragic passing in 2003 when she lost her battle with breast cancer.
Yet, with strength and compassionate determination, Lisa has dedicated herself to a patient journey of rebuilding and emboldening; one that has inspired her bright and joyful third album, In Need Of Love – a work of honest exploration that confronts some of her most personal battles with a message of positivity, encouraging others to take similar steps in their own lives to reach a “place of peace and joy.”
Also, an accomplished movie producer, Lisa Simone founded, executive produced and appeared in the multi-award winning NETFLIX documentary on Nina Simone, What Happened, Miss Simone?. Watch the trailer below:

Lisa Simone’s incredible new album, In Need Of Love is an outstanding melt of jazz, soul, gospel, blues, and reggae, written and composed alongside her long-time musical companion, Hervé Samb – a free spirit of the Parisian jazz scene.
