A couple of months ago THIS amazing photo gallery did the rounds. A series of snaps taken on and around the NY subway system circa late ‘70s early '80s by photographers Richard Sandler, John Conn, and Bruce Davidson.

The images are raw, iconic and already bursting at the seams with NYC attitude but we decided they needed to be soundtracked for maximum effect so we asked resident music nerd and our UK correspondent Ross Allen to take a look at the gallery and hit us with the tunes from the era that talked best to the incredible imagery.
