Bassist, Peter Hook has announced that he will be joining Charlatans’ singer, Tim Burgess later this month for a very special run-through of Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures as part of Burgess’ new online series, #timstwitterlisteningparty

Hook shared the news on Twitter, writing: “Very much looking forward to this listening party for ‘Unknown Pleasures’ with @Tim_Burgess, @KCMANC & of course all of you."

Burgess decided to launch the listening party project during the coronavirus lockdown and has already hosted the likes of Oasis, Franz Ferdinand and The Libertines. Check out #timstwitterlisteningparty here.

Anyone around the world can follow online as Hooky tweets his way through the classic album, sharing his unique insights and memories of how Joy Division’s 1979 debut came to be. The listening party will take place in Friday 22nd of May at 10pm UK time, which is 7am Saturday morning here in Australia – lucky for us you can replay all the episodes via Tim’s REPLAY page here.
