Announced today - the Kings of punk-funk and Aussie faves, the Red Hot Chili Peppers will return to Australia in 2019 - their first headline show tour in twelve years.

Boasting eleven studio albums spanning from their self-titled debut in 1984 through to The Getaway in 2016, RHCP have been a staple and favourite on Aussie rock radio for decades. Long-time members Anthony Kiedis, Flea and Chad Smith are now joined by Josh Klinghoffer on guitar who has toured with the band since 2007.

For many of us, it's an opportunity to relive some of those epic Big Day Out sets, although the 2019 A Day On The Green Shows are likely to be less dangerous than the BDO pit!

Needless to say, it was the early 90s that these guys made their mark on the alt-rock world, blending punk rock with funk (thanks to Flea's insane bass lines) with elements of rap in Kiedis' vocal style - a style that has never been imitated successfully.
