Nothing beats the Boss.

Bruce Springsteen’s high-spirited rendition of the 1934 Christmas classic, “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town,” has become a holiday staple over the years. He officially released a live version of the festive tune back in 1981 (and later appeared as the B-side to “My Hometown” in 1985), but had already been performing it for years prior.

Audience members lucky enough to catch The Boss live around the holiday season are still likely to be treated with a rocking live rendition of the track. It’s safe to say that won’t be happening in 2020, but we can certainly enjoy this rocking rendition, performed live in Houston with the E Street band in 1978 – and surely will for many Christmases to come!

Recently, Springsteen sat down with Jimmy Fallon to chat about his teenage rock band, his rocking “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town,” the 45th anniversary of Born To Run and much more. Watch below.
