38 years ago the Knack had the #1 single, “My Sharona”, and #1 album, Get The Knack, in the USA. Whilst all that was coming to pass, the band itself was on the other side of the world, down here in Australia, playing a hastily organised run of theatre,pub and club shows, and of course appearing on Countdown. ILYOS presents a glimpse of Aussie Knackmania as they’re interviewed by Molly and perform “My Sharona” on Sunday August 19 1979.
