Californian punk rockers, The Offspring have decided the world could use an early Christmas right now, optimistacally dropping a surprise cover of Darlene Love’s 1963 classic, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).”
The announced the tune in a tweet on Thursday (Nov 5th), saying: “It just seemed like the world could use a nice holiday song right now.”

It’s a stomping take that remains fairly true to Love’s jolly original, seasonal bells and all; but true to form, The Offspring have put their signature punk spin on the tune. And, while a festive cover may seem wildly out of place right now, an early Christmas has surely never been more deserved.
