Tom Petty’s annual birthday bash is shaping up to be massive this year! Due to the year that is 2020, the event will be hosted virtually – meaning we can all enjoy the celebration of what would have been his 70th birthday, with an epic Livestream tribute featuring Stevie Nicks alongside the likes of Foo Fighters, Beck, Eddie Vedder and more. The five-hour concert will also feature the two longest-standing Heartbreakers members, guitarist Mike Campbell and keyboardist Benmont Tench, in a special duo performance.

The first annual Tom Petty Birthday Bash took place in 2017 when fans gathered for a six-hour celebration of Petty tunes in honour of his passing. Since then, the celebration has since grown into a full-fledged music festival that not even a global pandemic can get in the way of.

Proceedings kick off this Friday, October 23rd (Petty’s actual birthday was earlier this week on October 20th). You can tune into the epic Livestream event and check out the schedule of incredible guests via Tom Petty’s official website, here.
