American Football might not be particularly popular with Aussie sports fans, but we can certainly enjoy the entertainment that comes with it!

Over the weekend (Feb 6th), Green Day dusted off their guitars for their first live show in nearly a year to perform a slamming three-song set at the annual Super Bowl NFL Honors show in California.

The band played “Holiday,” “Basket Case” and “Still Breathing” – watch the set below.

Last year, Green Day were forced to postpone their monumental worldwide Hella Mega Tour, with Weezer and Fall Out Boy, due to the coronavirus pandemic. And, while the fate of live music still remains uncertain at this point, Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo recently revealed that he’s still preparing to kick off of the rescheduled dates in Europe this coming June.

There’s no word yet on the rescheduled Aussie dates – we will keep you posted!
