A little over a week ago, TikTok user @420doggface208 – aka Nathan Apodaca – unwittingly caused a viral craze when he posted a simple video of himself skateboarding down an empty highway, swigging on a bottle of Cran-Raspberry juice, lip-synching Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 classic hit “Dreams.” In a moment of accidental genius, Apodaca captured the mood of the times – so much so, that Fleetwood Mac members retweeted the video captioned, “We love this.” 

Mick Fleetwood himself couldn’t resist, joining TikTok to give it a go – complete with Cran-Raspberry juice and all, of course; even speculating that it might even be the secret ingredient to ultimate Mac enjoyment... And from there, the #FleetwoodMacChallenge, has taken off around the world, with a flood of heart-warming entries, all featuring the imperative drinking Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry juice.

And no #FleetwoodMacChallenge without an entry from the witchy songstress herself, Stevie Nicks! Taking to TikTok to share a homage to Nathan Apodaca – to the new king of calm. Seated at a piano, lacing up a pair of roller skates, Nicks sings along to the Rumours classic playing on a vinyl turntable beside her. “Afternoon vibe,” she wrote.

The “Dreams” moment has turned Apodaca into a star, following Mick Fleetwood’s TikTok video, the two actually spoke virtually on a BBC News broadcast.

“One, we owe you,” Fleetwood said to Apodaca during the newscast. “It’s such a celebration of everything. I’ve heard you talking about it, and it’s so joyous and fun.”

“I feel blessed and I appreciate you. It’s just awesome,” Apodaca said in response.

Just awesome, indeed!
