Bands are constantly looking for new ways to splash their logo onto products, beyond the standard t-shirt and cap. Sometimes it goes too far, but it never seems to stop us devoted fans from digging deeper into our pockets.
This year it’s over 40 years since Kiss first ever appeared in a comic book, which has been an integral and popular part of their merchandising ever since 1977, beginning with their appearance in Marvel Comics' Howard the Duck #12. Over their career of nearly four decades, Kiss has licensed their name to more than 3,000 products.
Here’s some examples of merchandise from bands we love that kinda took it too far, some bordering on plain creepy...
Slayer's Christmas Sweater
Alice Cooper's Eyeliner
The White Stripes' Sewing Kit
Rammstein's Dildos
U2's Achtung Baby Condoms
Kiss' Coffin (Kasket)
Morrissey's Pillowcase
