This is just glorious. Ann Wilson of Heart and Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains pay tribute to Chris Cornell with this stripped-back rendition of the Soundgarden classic "Black Hole Sun".

They took to the stage earlier this year in May at The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony, choosing to perform a sparse interpretation with just vocals and one electric guitar. Nothing further required!

Jerry Cantrell has been the driving force behind Alice In Chains since the late 80s. The band continue despite the death of lead vocalist Layne Staley and have announced a new album, Rainer Fog, set for release on August 24.

It's not the first time Ann Wilson has silenced a room with a stunning interpretation of a classic. Along with Nancy, she performed "Stairway To Heaven" at the Kennedy Centre Honors event for Led Zeppelin. Unfortunately, the live video has been removed from YouTube, but here's the audio, and you'll have to believe us when we say Robert Plant shed a tear of happiness at this rendition.
