Divinyls founding member, guitarist and co-songwriter, Mark McEntee, returns in 2019 with a talented new line-up. The band will be hitting the road in March for an 18-date national tour of Australia to honour the legacy and celebrate the indelible music he created with the late, great Chrissy Amphlett.
McEntee will be joined by LA-based singer/songwriter, Lauren Ruth Ward who will be filling in for Amphlett on vocals, along with original Blondie guitarist and Divinyls (1987-88) alumni, Frank Infante and a new Australian rhythm section featuring J Cortez and Malcolm Clarke from Sleepy Jackson.
Led by the commanding vocal stylings of Amphlett and the whipsmart guitar vocabulary of McEntee, the Divinyls were a massive international success in the 80s & 90s.
In what McEntee describes as a Divinyls mission, the iconic Aussie guitarist says that it’s time to bring those hit tunes – from the heart and source - back to stages all over the world.
