Unplugged by Eric Clapton, was released August 18, 1992, making it 25 years old this week!

It was recorded at Bray Studios, England in front of an audience for the MTV Unplugged series. Recorded in January 1992, songs include a version of the successful 1991 single "Tears in Heaven" and an acoustic version of "Layla". It remains one of the top-selling live albums, winning three Grammy Awards in 1993 and selling over 26 million copies worldwide.

In 2004, Eric Clapton sold the Martin 000-42 acoustic guitar he played on Unplugged at an auction for just shy of $800,000, which was the record for the highest sale price of a Martin guitar at the time.
