Strike a pose.

Madonna may have said it, but in this moment Tina Turner definitely owns it, kicking off the song in a towering power-pose.

Accompanied by non-other than, Elton John on the piano, the pair settle into a sultry Motown groove. Tina has the whole room instantly hooked on her sexy, husky voice; leaving no doubt as to what makes her one of the most loved artists on the planet.

Suddenly, at 2 mins in, the band step on the gas, transforming the song into an all-out rock extravaganza! It’s literally a party on stage, complete with Tina Turner trademark shimmying.

She’s brimming with so much energy and charisma, the performance really couldn’t get any better. But boy does it when Cher casually two-steps her way into the scene!

The omnipresence of this pair of diva’s whips the whole room into a well-justified frenzy, as they match each other scream for scream, shimmy for shimmy.

When Elton Jon is the least remarkable person on the stage – you know you’ve just witnessed a moment of pure magic.

Check out the entire performance from VH1’s Divas Live ’99!
