It’s the second preview from the upcoming release, following the recent debut of Intruder’s lead single and title track, which explores the dystopian future faced by a modern world and serves as a warning against “humanity’s catastrophic behaviour.” Four decades into his celebrated career, the New Wave icon stays true to form with a boldly modernistic sound. “Intruder looks at climate change from the planet’s point of view,” Numan explained in a press statement. “If Earth could speak, and feel things the way we do, what would it say? How would it feel? the songs, for the most part, attempt to be that voice, or at least try to express what I believe the earth must feel at the moment.”
Intruder arrives May 21st and will be available on CD, deluxe CD, black heavyweight double-vinyl, picture disc double-vinyl and digital formats.
