Melbournians are in for a treat this January with rock ‘n roll archetype, Joan Jett announcing a one-off headline show while she's here for the 2019 Red Hot Summer Festival.

Earlier this year it was announced that Joan Jett & The Blackhearts would be sharing the headlining spot with local god, Jimmy Barnes. Joining them on the bill are, The Living End, Diesel, Richard Clapton, and Chocolate Starfish. It's an all-star affair and shows are selling out fast.

It will be Joan Jett’s first time in Oz since 2010 when she was here for Falls Festival. During that tour she made a one-off appearance at Sydney’s Annandale Hotel - I, for one, was there and can solemnly swear, it was a spiritual hot mess and a sacred experience.

Now it’s Melbourne’s turn! Yes, it’s really happening. Wednesday, January 16th, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts are set to bring their fundamental punk rock lesson in the origins of cool to Melbourne’s iconic Corner Hotel.

Supported by Cable Ties and Chiko Molls DJ’s (featuring Amy from Amyl & The Sniffers).

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, December 14th. Get yours here!
