Led Zeppelin are teaming with YouTube this weekend for an exclusive streaming event of their Celebration Day concert film from 2007. Premiering this Saturday, May 30, at 3PM ET, the highly acclaimed recording will be streamed in its entirety for three days only on the official Led Zeppelin YouTube channel.
Celebration Day chronicle’s the band’s historic live performance at London’s O2 Arena on December 10, 2007. In tribute to dear friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, Led Zeppelin took the stage for their first headline show in 27 years which turned out to be one of the most wildly anticipated concerts in rock ‘n’ roll history when 20 million people applied for tickets through a worldwide lottery!
Founding members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, for a 16 song tour de force of blues-infused rock ’n’ roll. The two-hour-plus concert delivered now legendary performances of landmark Led Zep tracks, including “Whole Lotta Love,” “Rock And Roll,” “Kashmir,” “Black Dog,” and “Stairway To Heaven” (full setlist below). Both video and audio of the concert were released in 2012 to worldwide critical acclaim, winning the band a GrammyAward for Best Rock Album.
