Lou Reed’s 1989 album, New York has been remastered for a massive deluxe edition that will also include 26 previously unreleased recordings, due out September 25th (pre-order here). New York, was Lou Reed’s Sire Records debut, and his 15th solo studio album overall. Marked by raw and evocative lyrics, the LP tells a collection of gritty stories, all delivered with Reed’s captivating sharp-tongued wit. The gold record earned him a Grammy nomination and a #1 hit on the Modern Rock charts with “Dirty Blvd.”
