Neil Young and Crazy Horse have announced an upcoming new album called Barn, which is set to arrive on December 10th.
Young initially announced the follow-up to their 2019 effort, Colorado back in June, in a cryptic statement confirming that “the Horse is back in the barn, shaking off the rust”.
“We are so happy to be back in the barn, a barn built to replicate the 1850s barn that had collapsed in exactly the same place, high in the mountains of Colorado.”
In celebration of the news, Young & Crazy Horse also announced on a new track titled Song Of The Seasons exclusively for subscribers to the Neil Young Archives site via Twitter, writing: “Hey now there’s a special treat for all you NYA members up on the Archives now … enjoy.”

Barn is due on December 10th.
The last couple of years have seen Young share a number of unreleased projects from his extensive vault, including 1975’s lost album, Homegrown and a number of live albums.
Last week, Carnegie Hall 1970, the first of his new Neil Young Official Bootleg Series, arrived on double vinyl, double CD and High Res Digital. The album was recorded on December 4th, 1970 and marks the first time Neil ever walked onstage at the iconic venue. It's the first of six albums in the series, to be arriving throughout the year.
