The Ramones and Spider-Man make for a perfect union of all things NYC, so it’s no wonder they go way back! The loveable, leather-clad boys from Queens first got behind the caped-crusader back in 1995 when they released a cover of the 1967 Spider-Man cartoon theme song (composed by Paul Francis Webster and Bob Harris) as a bonus track on Adios Amigos!.

Together again, those kings of carefree, the Ramones, instantly capture the sentiment of escapism as we’re introduced to an overworked teenage Peter Parker (Tom Holland) attempting to put his superhero duties on-hold, hanging up his Spiderman suit declaring, “I just wanna go on a trip with my friends.”

1978 punk hit, “I Wanna Be Sedated” creates the perfect juxtaposition as, for a quick minute, we’re lulled into a false sense of security that the biggest plot complication might just be the uber-liberation of Peter’s European love interest.

Until.

Cut the Ramones - the time to hesitate is through. The bad guys (Samual L. Jackson & Jake Gyllenhaal) just showed up and shit’s about to get real for Peter. Cue dramatic music and let the action-packed blockbuster unfold!

The message is clear, "with great power, comes great responsibility". For the rest of us? Kickback! Those masked-avengers have our backs. Turn up our I Like: the Ramones playlist real loud knowing no mutated monsters are going to get in the way of you and a good time this summer.
