I can’t help about the shape I’m in

I can’t sing, I ain’t pretty and my legs are thin

With gratitude to YouTuber Badly Drawn Ballbag, ILYOS is thrilled to give you all the live footage that we could find of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac.

Mr. Ballbag has put what he says is everything in one handy collection, but we’ve already found more, including a great “Black Magic Woman” from the famous Boston venue the Boston Tea Party in 1970, and a monster version of “The Green Manalishi” from Sweden the same year.

If you come across any more please let us know and we’ll add it here and share it, with thanks.

Of course, this is when the Mac were the UK’s premier blues rock band, and Peter Green was a rival/peer of Clapton, Beck, and Page. Some said he was better:

"He has the sweetest tone I ever heard; he was the only one who gave me the cold sweats." - B.B. King

If you’ve never immersed yourself in the classic Green Mac but love classic late ‘60s/early ‘70s Brit rock like Cream, Free and Zeppelin, this is a good place to start. If you want to hear their absolutely defining track, we’ve got the great “Oh Well” for you separately as well.

And the band’s classic album Then Play On
