Alanis Morissette has featured in a recent episode of Netflix’s Bridgerton series, performing a lavish orchestral reworking of her cutting 1995 mega-hit, You Oughta Know – and it’s a real show-stopper!

The haunting instrumental version was composed by composers Duomo and Tomás Peire-Serrate, and performed by orchestral troupe Kroma Strings. Morissette’s captivatingly reserved vocal sits at the forefront, echoing the intensity of the fierce original in her whispered delivery.

In news first announced at the end of last year, Alanis Morissette is in the process of developing a TV sitcom inspired by her life titled Relatable.

As originally reported by Variety, the single-camera comedy will feature new original music penned by Morissette just for the show. Relatable will depict the life of a 40 something-year-old rockstar and mother who fails to command the respect she receives on stage at home. The show is the brainchild of co-creators Elizabeth Beckwith and Christopher Moynihan, with Morissette serving as executive producer. See more, here.
