A new 90-minute documentary starring Pretenders’ tenacious frontwoman Chrissie Hynde performing the songs of Bob Dylan is set for release later this week.
Tomorrow is a Long Time: Chrissie Hynde Sings Bob Dylan follows Hynde’s earlier-released YouTube Bob Dylan covers project, Standing in the Doorway: Chrissie Hynde Sings Bob Dylan with Pretenders guitarist, James Walbourne.
In a new trailer for the upcoming streaming release, we’re treated to the legendary singer’s personal philosophy of rock. As she explains in the clip: "In rock 'n roll there's rules, but there are no rules. My version of rock ‘n’ roll is very different from someone else’s version. To me, it was anti-establishment – expressing yourself, doing your thing and kind of going against the establishment. For me personally, there wasn’t anything else. There wasn’t a rule.” Watch below.

Earlier this month, Pretenders smash hit 1981 debut albums of all time, and its follow up Pretenders II, were reissued on vinyl for the very first time.
Pretenders (Deluxe Edition) and Pretenders II (Deluxe Edition) will be available as a 3CD set, or on limited-edition coloured red and white vinyl respectively. Both feature 2018 remastered audio by the album’s original producer, Chris Thomas, plus a special, hand-numbered Pretenders print, based upon the Brass In Pocket single artwork, limited to 500 copies worldwide.
