Last week, a long lost video of Van Halen rocking out in front of giant dinosaur statues was unearthed (see here) and now, another rediscovered clip of Eddie Van Halen playing the riffs to “Amsterdam” years before its release has been shared. 

The video was filmed at 5150 Studio and, judging by Eddie’s haircut and "Team Jams National Champs 1986" jersey, appears to capture a studio jam from the mid-80s as the legendary guitarist worked out parts for the track that wasn’t officially released until 1995’s Balance LP. Watch below. 

Such a bittersweet reminder of the massive talent we lost with the passing of EVH last year. Enjoy the finished track below.
