Live at the Fillmore, an upcoming album chronicling Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers’ famous 20-night residency at San Francisco’s Fillmore venue in 1997 is set to arrive on November 25th. Ahead of the release, Tom Petty’s estate has shared never-before-seen footage from the legendary run of shows that saw the band to change-up their set list every night their sets each night and deliver some incredibly unique performances
The eight-plus minute clip features short previews of beloved hits Listen to Her Heart, Running Down a Dream, along with some of the iconic covers they performed, like Little Richard’s Lucille and guest appearances by fellow legends rock John Lee Hooker and The Byrds’ Roger McGuinn. It also includes commentary on the intention of the residency to inspire spontaneity in the band’s live shows. Watch below.

Heartbreakers guitarist, Mike Campbell previously said in a statement: “Playing the Fillmore in 1997 for a month was one of my favourite experiences as a musician in my whole life. The band was on fire and we changed the setlist every night. The room and the crowd was spiritual … AND … we got to play with some amazing guests. I will always remember those nights with joy and inspiration.”
The first single from Live at the Fillmore, Listen to Her Heart was shared last month, along with a new official video directed by Peter Sluszka. You can check it out below.
Live at the Fillmore is due for release on November 25th. The 2 CD/LP set includes 33 tracks, 18 of which are covers – two hours of music. The tri-fold board package includes a 16-page booklet with previously unseen photographs. Check out the bundle options and pre-order, here.
