Sammy Hagar & the Circle have recorded an uplifting cover of Bob Marley’s iconic “Three Little Birds”  and it truly is a joy. The former Van Halen frontman is joined by Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson for the 1977 reggae classic, as part of their ongoing Lockdown Sessions series.

The video features glorious four-part harmonies and a sneak peek into the musicians’ homes – Michael Anthony’s Twister pinball is a real show stealer! – as Hagar reminds us that “every little thing gonna be alright” during this difficult time, while calmly sipping coffee with his wife.

“I love this band more every day,” Hagar wrote on Instagram. “These guys are sooooo much fun and this song makes me happy.” Watch below.

The Circle spent the past few years playing massive shows with Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Montrose and Hagar before releasing their debut album, Space Between, in May last year. Previous instalments of their ongoing Lockdown Sessions series include, the Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” Van Halen’s 1986 track, “Good Enough” and one of their own, “Funky Feng Shui.” Follow the series here.
