Over the weekend, a very special Livestream event took place that saw many musicians inspired by David Bowie join forces to celebrate the Starman.

A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day! was curated and hosted by Bowie’s longtime collaborator, Mike Garson who also accompanied each performance on piano. The virtual concert fell on what would have been Bowie’s 74th birthday (8th Jan) and two days before the fifth anniversary of his death on the 10th of January.

Highlights from the night included this stellar performance by Smashing Pumpkins’ frontman Billy Corgan, who delivered an epic “Space Oddity” which you can watch below.

While NIN’s Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross were accompanied by Trent’s wife Mariqueen Maandig for a brooding rendition of “Fashion.”

The event also saw Boy George perform an Aladdin Sane medley, Def Leppard’s Joe Elliot singing “Ziggy Stardust” and Duran Duran covered “5 Years,” which they've also released as a single. Listen below.
