The elderly residents of care homes have been among the hardest hit by the coronavirus lockdown, separated from friends and family as facilities are forced to restrict visitors and limit social interactions. But residents at one nursing home in the U.K. have found a delightfully creative solution to passing the time, taking a trip down memory lane and recreating some of music’s most iconic album covers.

Nursing home entertainment manager, Robert Speker, from the Sydmar Lodge Care Home in Edgware in the U.K., came up with the idea, and shared some of the results on Twitter, saying:

“The home has now been in lockdown for 4 months. Sydmar Lodge Care Home residents and carers have been recreating classic album covers.” And the results are as just entertaining for us, too. See below.

See them all, here.

Covers undertaken for the challenge include David Bowie’s 1973 album Aladdin Sane, Madonna’s 1986 album, True Blue, The Clash’s London Calling from 1979, Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The U.S.A and Queen, Johnny Cash and more. We’re sure hoping to this trend continue around the world!
