A welcome surprise from Red Hot Chili Peppers this week - a darker & more serious direction can be heard on brand new track "Dark Necessities", from the band's newly announced album 'The Getaway'.
The piano-led song features a restrained but strong bass groove from Flea (restrained by Flea's standards, that is), with Anthony Kiedis' vocals less jittery, here delivering a very catchy hook. We even get a cracking guitar solo at the end.
