A New Notorious B.I.G. Documentary is Coming To Netflix

Netflix has shared the first trailer for an upcoming Notorious B.I.G. documentary Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell. The film, four years in the making, was executive produced by the late rapper’s mother, Violetta Wallace and fellow rap collaborator, Sean “Diddy” Combs

From Biggie’s early life in Brooklyn to his rapid rise to superstardom, the rap legend’s life and legacy will be detailed in exclusive interviews with his closest friends and family, including Faith Evans, Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s Lil Cease and others.

The documentary premieres on Netflix globally on March 1st, eight days before the 24th anniversary of the rapper’s death in 1997. Watch the first trailer below.

A description of the film reads: “Every legend has an origin story. Christopher Wallace, AKA The Notorious B.I.G., remains one of Hip-Hop’s icons, renowned for his distinctive flow and autobiographical lyrics. This documentary celebrates his life via rare behind-the-scenes footage and the testimonies of his closest friends and family.”

Last year, The Notorious B.I.G. was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside T-Rex, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, the Doobie Brothers and more. 

Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell premieres on Netflix, March 1st.
