Biggie would have celebrated his 50th birthday this year (May 21st) and to mark the occasion, his former label Bad Boy, Rhino and Atlantic Records have announced a year-long celebration of the rap icon – The Sky’s The Limit: A Year Celebrating The Legacy of the Notorious B.I.G.
As part of the festivities, an extensive 25th anniversary reissue of his epic second album Life After Death, which was released on March 25th 1997, just two weeks after Biggie was killed in a drive-by shooting. The diamond-certified, Grammy-nominated, double-disc opus debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200 chart upon release with the back to back number one singles Hypnotize and Mo Money Mo Problems, which remain classics to this day.

A Super Deluxe Box Set celebrating 25 years of Life After Death is set for release on June 10.
