In celebration of Tina Turner’s 81st birthday (Nov 26th), the original music video for revered 1984 hit, “What’s Love Got To Do With It” has been unveiled, fully upgraded to HD.
Filmed in Los Angeles, this version is the first music video that was shot for the now legendary song. However, once it was complete the record label at time felt the clip was too downbeat for the song and decided to reshoot the iconic colour version of video that we all know and love.

In July this year, producer DJ, Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll – a.k.a Kygo, teamed up with the Tina to unveil a remake of “What’s Love Got To Do With It”. Balancing the legendary vocal and song melody while giving it a whole new feel, collaborating with Tina was a real honour Kyogo, as he explains:
“I couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with Tina Turner, who is an icon that I grew up listening to. ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ is one of my all-time favourite songs so to have a chance to rework it has been a very special moment in my career. I love working around timeless vocals and although it’s challenging to preserve elements of the original track and adding my own touch, I’m extremely happy with how it turned out!”
