Led Zeppelin cut some of the greatest records in history, but the band also helped launch other hitmakers through its label, Swan Song. Among those was U.K. supergroup Bad Company, formed by ex-members of Free, King Crimson and Mott The Hoople. Bad Company's eponymous debut must have had Page and Plant looking over their shoulders as the set soared to No.1 on the album chart on its way to platinum sales status.

'Bad Company' (1974)

Of the eight tracks on the collection, more than half would spend years in rotation on AOR and classic rock radio - Rock Steady, Ready For Love, Movin’ On, the title song and Can’t Get Enough, which was released as a single on this day in 1974. Surely the quartet's finest hour, Bad Company remains at the pinnacle of blues-based hard rock.

Let’s revisit those anthemic singles below!

Bad Company | ‘Can't Get Enough’

Can't Get Enough peaked at number on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1974.

Bad Company  | ‘Rock Steady’ [Live from Red Rocks]

Paul Rodgers is always rocking steady with that unbeatable vocal!

Bad Company | ‘Ready For Love’

This is how it's done, kids.

Bad Company | ‘Bad Company’

A perfect example of why the 70s was an untouchable decade of rock.
