In a recent interview with Sirius XM’s Volume West, Heart frontwoman, Ann Wilson has revealed that a biopic about the pioneering rock band is in the works, telling host, Lyndsey Parker that Sleater Kinney’s Carrie Brownstein is set to write and direct the film.

“I saw the first draft of the script,” Wilson told Parker. “It’s really cool. She’s working with the movie company Amazon and with the producer, Linda Obst, who did Sleepless in Seattle.”

The film will focus on Ann and her sister Nancy Wilson’s childhood, from their musical origins to their meteoric rise to fame as the first female fronted hard rock band to climb the charts in the 70s.

Speaking of the casting process for the film, Wilson said she doesn’t’ “have any idea” who will portray the sisters on screen just yet. “I’m just as excited about finding out as you are,” Wilson told Parker. You can listen to a clip of the interview below.
