Legendary Heart singer, Ann Wilson made a very special appearance at a show in New Haven recently when she jumped on stage with Southern rockers Gov’t Mule – a side project of Allman Brothers’ guitarist Warren Hayes – to lend her extraordinary pipes to a selection of covers from Led Zeppelin and Tom Petty, among others.

Watch her tear through Led Zeppelin’s 1978 smash “Black Dog,” with a wail we think would make Robert Plant proud, below.

The setlist also included a powerful rendition of Tom Petty’s 1978 tune “Luna” that you can watch below.

And of course, the evening wouldn’t have been complete without one of her own classics in the mix, delivering a slamming version of Heart’s 1975 hit, “Magic Man.”

What a voice!
