Reports have surfaced from the sale of vinyl in the USA on Record Store Day 2018, proving that the bricks and mortar retailers are celebrating the success the day brings them.

733,000 albums sold in the week commencing 21st April, of which 580,000 albums were sold at independent music retailers. This marks the biggest week for vinyl that indie retailers have seen since 1991.
