Last week, 10-year-old drumming prodigy, Nandi Bushell challenged Dave Grohl to a drum battle, which he willingly accepted, laying down a section of Foo Fighters’ “Everlong” before challenging Nandi to play Them Crooked Vultures’ “Dead End Friends” (see here for a quick catch up).

And she did. In fact, Bushell slammed through the alt-rocker with ease and flair,  matching the Foo’s frontman move for move, even matching his classic red check shirt. She concluded with a triumphant, “CHECKMATE!” And declared, “the rock Gods are smiling upon us.” 

Grohl was so impressed he conceded round one to Bushell. Watch the inspiring performance below.
