The Rockin'1000 have paid special homage to late drummer Foo Fighters drummer, Taylor Hawkins, two months after his tragic death with a massive cover for one of the band’s most well-known tracks, My Hero.

Hawkins was an integral member of the Foo Fighters, a literal driving force whose unexpected and untimely loss on March 25th continues to send shockwaves through the music world.

The Rockin'1000 is made up of over 1000 members – a giant network of music producers, filmmakers, and sound engineers from 25 different countries – based in Italy. They organize large scale events that bring together thousands of musicians for performances, colossal in nature. When it comes to honouring a player of Hawkins's stature, in musicianship, energy and presence, such an epic tribute is most certainly called for.

Watch below to see the Rockin'1000 perform at Stade de France in Paris this past weekend, bringing together over 1000 drummers from all over the world for a powerfully heartrending rendition of My Hero.

In 2015, the group performed another Foo Fighters classic 'Learn to Fly' in a bid to get "Dave Grohl to come and play in Cesena, Italy." Watch below.
