Fender has announced a new series of guitars celebrating grunge icons Kurt Cobain, Dinosaur Jr’s J. Mascis and the 30th anniversary of Primal Scream’s Screamadelica.
The Jag-Stang was designed by the guitar manufacturer in conjunction with the Nirvana frontman in the mid-90s and combines elements from both the Fender Mustang and Jaguar models. It’ll be available for the first time since 2006 in Sonic Blue and Fiesta Red Check out the Cobain Jag-Stang at Fender.
Other signature models that will arrive in Fender’s 2021 collection include the J Mascis Telecaster and a limited-run Screamadelica 30th Anniversary Stratocatstor which features Primal Scream’s iconic album artwork.
Fender’s Justin Norvell said of the new collection: “The needs of today’s creators and guitar players are continually evolving, especially with the rise of home recordings and as new players boom from the pandemic.”
“To meet this new demand, we’ve woven new specs and elements into these innovative instruments, introducing products that will ease the playing experience and inspire young, new players, but also professionals and fans of some of our most-esteemed Fender artists.”
