The effervescent, Sir Rod Stewart celebrates his 78th birthday today, which has inspired us to delve into the archives and remember this legendary performance from his 1993 MTV Unplugged concert. 

For his first (and only) appearance on the iconic show, reunited with Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood, Stewart pulled out all the hits, including Have I Told You Lately, Reason to Believe and of course, Maggie May with his signature raspy voice in peak form. Enjoy below.
