Funko Pop! has announced the latest additions to their ever-growing line of figurines – and it’s a hard-rocking collection!
Metal legends, Iron Maiden has previously collaborated with the toymaker to bring us figurines inspired by the band’s classic albums, Killers, The Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind.
The latest additions find Iron Maiden’s famed mascot Eddie be immortalised in two new figures. First, representing the band’s 1986 LP Somewhere in Time is an Eddie figurine wearing futuristic headgear and holding a ray gun, as on the album cover. A second Funko recreates the band’s 1988 LP, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son with a skeletal Eddie holding a heart.
Ozzy Osbourne has also been captured by Funko in past collections. The latest figurine depicts the Prince of Darkness as he appeared on the cover of his 1981 LP, Diary of a Madman.
And punk icons, Green Day are getting the Funko treatment for the very first time. Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt will be immortalized separately in their instantly recognizable American Idiot era attire.
