It’s the first new Joe Strummer title to be released on Dark Horse Records - a label founded by George Harrison in 1974 and currently run by his son Dhani Harrison. The label has long been a home for “Freedom Fighters, Storytellers and Troubadour’s,” making it the perfect home to celebrate the incredible legacy of a punk-poet-activist-icon like Joe Strummer.
Last year, Strummer’s iconic life and music were commemorated with a star-studded global live stream (see more, here) featuring performances and testimonials from an array of high-profile admirers, including Bruce Springsteen, Jeff Tweedy, Bob Weir, Lucinda Williams, Josh Homme, Tom Morello and many more. The event is streaming now via Joe’s Official YouTube Channel HERE.
